For sale is a complete set (books 1 – 7) of Harry Potter Hardcover U. 1st Edition, Early & First Print Bloomsbury published books with original dust jackets. First editions, not Ted Smart, book club or foreign edition. All books include original un-clipped dust jackets. There is no writing, stickers, stamps or inscriptions inside or out. The books are clean with no missing or loose pages, and overall solid bindings. As you can see from the pictures, the books are in good overall condition, but are not without flaws as each book has been used at varying levels and some wear should be expected. Individual conditions are based on industry standard definitions and grading is given for the individual jackets and books below. I try to make note of anything I would consider more noticeable or hard to see in pictures, but typical wear for grading condition should be expected as they are used and not perfect, but if you have questions or need further pictures beyond allowable 12 for the posting, please contact me as I would be happy to help. The Philosopher’s Stone: 1st Edition, 30th Print. Dust Jacket Condition: Good+ (minor wear to corners and edges; slight sun fading to spine and there are some small shallow dents to the front cover and back spine edge). Book & Boards Condition: Very Good+ (similar to jacket with minor wear to edges and corners and some bumping to covers; the binding is strong but there is a bit of an upward lean to the top board, but no loose or missing pages; clean pages). The Chamber of Secrets: 1st Edition, 28th Print. Print Line: “30 29 28″. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good- (minimal wear to covers, corners and edges; slight sun fading to the top half of spine). Book & Boards Condition: Near Fine (unread copy; slight bit of bumping to spine, otherwise perfect copy). The Prisoner of Azkaban: 1st Edition, 33rd Print. Print Line: “40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33″. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good (virtually no wear other than the unfortunate sun fading to the spine). Book & Boards Condition: Very Good+ (strong square binding; inward curling to top and bottom edges of spine wrap; clean pages). The Goblet of Fire: 1st Edition, 22nd Print. “30 29 28 27 26 25 24 23 22″. Dust Jacket Condition: Good+ (there is some minor wear to the covers, corners and edges; the is a small split beginning to the top back corner; some small wrinkling to spine and covers). Book & Boards Condition: Very Good+ (unread binding; minor edge and cover wear with some light bumping to the corners; some inward curling to the top and bottom edges of the spine wrap; clean pages). The Order of the Phoenix: 1st Edition, 5th Print. “5 7 9 10 8 6″. (minor wear to covers, corners and edges; minor sun fading to the spine). Book & Boards Condition: Very Good+ (binding is strong and maybe read once; there is minimal wear to the covers, edges and corners; clean pages). The Half Blood Prince: 1st Edition, 1st Print. Print Line: “First Edition” First print of books 4-7 were all stated “first edition” and didn’t use a number line until 2nd print run. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+ (bumping to top spine edge, otherwise jacket has very little wear). Book & Boards Condition: Very Good+ unread binding; just same bumping to top spine edge and not much of anything else. The Deathly Hallows: 1st Edition, 1st Print. Dust Jacket Condition: Good- decent amount of wear to covers, corners with splitting to front top corner; minor sun fading to the spine; tiny split beginning near top back corner of spine edge. Book & Boards Condition: Good- some edge, cover and corner; there is some early separation between spine wrap and spine that has caused a bit of a forward lean to the top board, but no loose or missing pages; some wrinkling to spine wrap; light spotting to page edges. The only ones not pictured are in fact stated first edition, first print runs (books 6 & 7 and if you would like pictures just shoot me a private message). The big thing is that upon my examination, there is no writing, inscriptions or torn pages, and the bindings are all holding together well with no loose or missing pages throughout, and as you can see they stand up easily on their own without any bookends, all complete with original dust jackets. A nice first edition set. This is a nice early set of books that are becoming increasingly hard to find at an affordable price. It will make a wonderful gift or addition for any HP Fan seeking to build their Harry Potter book collection with an early UK first edition set!
