For sale is a complete set (books 1 – 7) of Harry Potter Hardcover U. 1st Edition, Early & First Print Bloomsbury published books with original dust jackets. First editions, not Ted Smart, book club or foreign edition. All books include original un-clipped dust jackets. There is no writing, stamps, stickers or inscriptions inside or out. The books are clean with no missing or loose pages, and great overall bindings and all stand easily on their own. As you can see from the pictures, the books are in very nice condition, but are not without some minor flaws as each book has been used at varying levels and some wear should be expected. A very solid collector/display level set. Individual conditions are based on industry standard definitions and grading is given for the individual jackets and books below. I try to make note of anything I would consider more noticeable or hard to see in pictures, but typical wear for grading condition should be expected as they are not perfect, and if you have questions or need further pictures beyond allowable 12 for the posting, please contact me as I would be happy to help. The Philosopher’s Stone: 1st Edition, 32nd Print. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+ almost no wear and just the slightest sun fade to the spine that really doesn’t alter the look… Book & Boards Condition: Near Fine (maybe read once with minimal wear bumping to a few page corners; nice). The Chamber of Secrets: 1st Edition, 29th Print. Print Line: “30 29″. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+ (slight wear, small wrinkle to front cover and spine). Book & Boards Condition: Near Fine (solid copy with just minor edge and spine wear). The Prisoner of Azkaban: 1st Edition, 22nd Print. Print Line: “30 29 28 27 26 25 24 23 22″. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+ slight edge wear and small bumping to spine edge. Book & Boards Condition: Near Fine (unread binding; great copy just one page edge bumped). The Goblet of Fire: 1st Edition, 16th Print. Print Line: “16 17 18 19 20″. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good (minor wear to edges, mostly the top, and minimal wear to covers and corners). Book & Boards Condition: Very Good+ (strong square binding; minimal edge and corner wear). The Order of the Phoenix: 1st Edition, 1st Print. Print Line: “First Edition” First print of books 4-7 were all stated “first edition” and didn’t use a number line until 2nd print run. (some edge wear and just minor cover and corner wear). Book & Boards Condition: Very Good (binding has some separation beginning between spine wrap and spine but the binding is still square and holding strong for one of these thick books; minor edge, cover and corner wear). The Half Blood Prince: 1st Edition, 1st Print. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good- minimal wear other than the back bottom edge and back bottom corner have a small split… Smooth splits so don’t show too bad. Book & Boards Condition: Very Good unread binding; some edge and cover wear with a bump to back top edge that has tiny spit in the dent and a shallow diagonal line dent to front cover but hard to see; small bumping to a few page corners; inward curling/wrinkling to top and bottom edges of spine wrap. The Deathly Hallows: 1st Edition, 1st Print. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good (minimal edge, cover and corner wear; minor bumping bending to spine, but not bad). Book & Boards Condition: Very Good minimal wear other than some early separation between the spine wrap and spine that has caused a little bowing to spine wrap, but the binding is still strong and square. The only ones not pictured are in fact stated first edition, first print runs (books 6 & 7 and if you would like pictures just shoot me a private message). The big thing is that upon my examination, there is no writing, inscriptions or stamps, and the bindings are all great and holding together well with no loose or missing pages throughout, and as you can see they stand up easily on their own without any bookends. A very nice first edition set. This is a very nice early set of books that are becoming increasingly hard to find in such good condition. It will make a wonderful gift or addition for any HP Fan seeking to build their Harry Potter book collection with an early UK first edition set!
