For sale is a Deluxe Hardcover 1st Edition, 1st Print UK Bloomsbury Published Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J. Bloomsbury deluxe First Edition, first print which was printed in Great Britain. The number line is stated and pictured. 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1. This Vintage Highly rare and collectible book is in Very Good Condition for the age in comes without a Dust Jacket as no dust jackets were issued with the Deluxe Editions. Book & Boards Condition Details. Colors and illustrations bright and clean with a small fade on bottom left corner of gold border, front cover. There is no writing or inscriptions inside or out. The blue ribbon book mark is present but unfortunately not attached to the book. The gilded edge of the pages are still in very good condition, and there are no dog-ears, tears or pen marks to any pages… Pages are in a expected vintage condition for the age with a small amount of readers thumb marks (hardly noticeable), still great condition though – see photos. There is almost no edge wear, the only exception is a really small dent to the top outside edge that can also be seen on the back if angled heavily towards the light – see photos. This is so small that it doesn’t appear hardly at all when looking at it in person, but it is there. There is very minimal rubbing to the corners, great shape overall. The cloth wrap of the book is in a nice condition for the age with only a few small marks to the rear and small marks on front near the JK signature as seen in the pictures. Minor imperfections/rubbing to the back, but nothing significant (see all pictures for all small flaws to the book). The spine is in nice shape with minor inward curling to the top and bottom cloth edges. The binding is in great condition and feels barely read which is very hard to find in these. Not a perfect book, but a very nice overall Rare collectors piece. This is an extremely nice, Extremely Rare and very collectible book that has become almost impossible to find in this type of condition, it will make a wonderful gift or addition for any Harry Potter Fan seeking to build their Harry Potter book collection, or to hang on to for their children’s inheritance! I have really tried to be as harsh as possible when assessing this book for sale and therefore would be more than happy to assist and even send additional photos if the Costumer shows interest.
