The book has been translated from English to Latin by the translator, Peter Needham. It is bound in black cloth with gilt title and illustration of the Hogwart’s Express to the front board. It is not a cheap book club edition like many others on the market, it was published in 2003 by Bloomsbury and still has it’s original gold ribbon page marker. Both the book and the dust jacket are in very good condition, just the slightest bit of shelf wear to the jacket. There is a bit of age related tanning to the pages (very common with all the earlier printings of the Harry Potter books due to the type of paper used by Bloomsbury, it would be hard to find any early edition without some tanning). The front free endpaper has been neatly pasted to the front board, not too noticeable, but should be pointed out. Please note that the text throughout is in Latin. A fabulous book, the 1st / 1st UK editions of this title in English demand tens of thousands of pounds and are out of reach for most collectors, this Latin edition is a great way to own a 1st printing of this iconic book.
