For sale is a complete set (books 1 – 7) of Harry Potter Hardcover U. 1st Edition, Early & First Print Bloomsbury published books with original dust jackets. First editions, not Ted Smart, book club or foreign edition. All books include original un-clipped dust jackets. There is no writing, stamps, stickers or inscriptions inside or out. The books are clean with no missing or loose pages, and great overall bindings and all stand easily on their own. As you can see from the pictures, the books are in very nice condition, but are not without some minor flaws as each book has been used at varying levels and some wear should be expected. A very solid collector/display level set. Individual conditions are based on industry standard definitions and grading is given for the individual jackets and books below. The Philosopher’s Stone: 1st Edition, 28th Print. Print Line: “28 29 30″. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+ (minor bumping to spine and spine edges but that’s about it, nice jacket). Book & Boards Condition: Fine (maybe read once with really no wear; excellent copy). The Chamber of Secrets: 1st Edition, 28th Print. Print Line: “30 29 28″. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine (slight wear, great jacket). Book & Boards Condition: Fine (unread binding; no real wear, excellent). The Prisoner of Azkaban: 1st Edition, 28th Print. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine slight edge wear and small bump to spine; great jacket. Book & Boards Condition: Fine (unread binding; great copy). The Goblet of Fire: 1st Edition, 22nd Print. Print Line: “30 29 28 27 26 25 24 23 22″. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+ (minimal wear to edges and corners with small chip to bottom front corner; minor inward curling/wrinkling to top spine edge). Book & Boards Condition: Very Good+ (unread binding; minimal edge and corner wear; very light spotting to outside page edges; very nice copy). The Order of the Phoenix: 1st Edition, 1st Print. Print Line: “First Edition” First print of books 4-7 were all stated “first edition” and didn’t use a number line until 2nd print run. (minor cover, edge and corner wear with tiny split to top spine edge, but not bad). Book & Boards Condition: Very Good- (binding is solid with just minor separation beginning between spine wrap and spine; minor edge, cover and corner wear with a chip to the front bottom corner; there is a 1 tear to a page edge towards front part of book, but didn’t even notice it until evaluating closely, so not real visible until on that page). The Half Blood Prince: 1st Edition, 1st Print. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good- (some edge, cover and corner wear and there is a vertical wrinkle on the spine). Book & Boards Condition: Very Good- minor edge and cover wear; some rubbing to corners; small bumping to a few page edges; inward curling/wrinkling to top and bottom edges of spine wrap; some early separation between spine wrap and spine that has caused a slight forward lean to the top board, but binding is solid. The Deathly Hallows: 1st Edition, 1st Print. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good- (minor edge and corner wear; some rubbing to covers with some thin small winkles and a few bumps to the cover and spine, but not real noticeable unless looking closely). Book & Boards Condition: Very Good minor edge, cover and corner wear with bumping/chipping to back bottom corner; square/solid binding; inward curling/wrinkling to top and bottom edges of spine wrap. The only ones not pictured are in fact stated first edition, first print runs (books 6 & 7 and if you would like pictures just shoot me a private message). The big thing is that upon my examination, there is no writing, inscriptions or stamps, and the bindings are all great and holding together well with no loose or missing pages throughout, and as you can see they stand up easily on their own without any bookends. A very nice first edition set. This is a very nice early set of books that are becoming increasingly hard to find in such good condition. It will make a wonderful gift or addition for any HP Fan seeking to build their Harry Potter book collection with an early UK first edition set!
