A very rare hardcover 1st Edition, 13th Print Bloomsbury published Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J. Bloomsbury First Edition, printed at Clays Ltd. In Great Britain, not a Ted Smart, not a book club, and not a foreign edition. Rowling after the 24th print run. Misprint that was quickly corrected was the illustrator is listed as “Thomas Taylor 1997″. “Young Wizard” on the spine and back cover, which was changed to the “Old Wizard” after the 17th print run. This book is in Excellent Condition and w ith Dust Jacket, which is also. All lettering and illustration colors are crisp and bright with no sun fading. There are no stains, smears or imperfections on the jacket or anywhere on the book. There are no scratches or tears to the jacket, and just minor rubbing and very shallow scratching to the back that doesn’t go through the color and very hard to see. The corners wrapping the boards are in very good shape. The inside dust flap corners are sharp with minimal to no bending at all. The spine is in excellent, like new shape with no noticeable bending/wrinkling. Book & Boards Condition Details. I would put the book & boards condition at “Excellent” and with no noticeable imprefections. This book will make a great gift or addition to any HP Fan seeking on of the earliest 1st Edition copies of The Philosopher’s Stone for their collection!
